(Arthroplasty & Complex Trauma)

About Me
I am a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon working within the NHS at Sandwell & West Birmingham Hospitals, specialising in arthroplasty and complex trauma.
I am a fellowship-trained and certified Robotic Arthroplasty Surgeon, specialising in both hip and knee surgery with over 30 years experience. My advanced training at leading centres in the UK and abroad has provided me with extensive experience across all aspects of primary and revision hip and knee arthroplasty, peri-prosthetic fracture management, musculoskeletal oncology, and bone and joint infection management as well as complex trauma.

In addition to my arthroplasty practice, I regularly perform knee arthroscopies, including meniscectomies and meniscal repairs, and have broad experience in managing paediatric and lower limb orthopaedic conditions.

I have a strong academic and research background, with publications in several international peer-reviewed journals, and have presented my work at both national and international conferences. I am actively involved in medical education, serving as faculty and examiner for Birmingham and Aston Medical Schools, as well as a faculty member at international hip meetings.

Within my department, I also hold key leadership roles, serving as the Clinical Governance Lead and MDT
Co-ordinator, ensuring the highest standards of patient care and safety.
